Treatment Models:

I provided inclusive professional and clinical care founded in research and evidence based practices. In both group and individual settings we work together to get you feeling better and living in a way that feels fulfilling and steady. Services utilize theories and treatment models such as:

  • CBT

  • Supportive therapy

  • Solution focused therapy

  • Existential therapy

  • Interpersonal social rhythm therapy

  • Person-Centerd Therapy

What I hope to curate for you:

Environment matters for everyone. I hope to create a both a physical and emotional environment where you feel welcomed, free to share your true thoughts and feelings, and supported. Therapy can be difficult. As people work to change thought and behavior patterns that are not creating the life outcomes they desire, it is important to practice and engage with others while they learn about themselves and their impact on those around them. Connection with others in a group setting has been proven to provide an optimal setting for the type of engagement, learning, and change people desire.

Who am I and why trust me with your care?

I truly believe we have more in common than we are different. I care deeply about my community, which includes you.  I chose to operate this practice in downtown Rockford, MI because connection to each other and our surroundings is the part of life that reminds us we are living breathing beings not just a brain full of thoughts or a body that feels out of place. I feel connected every time I go visit the local coffee shop, bookstore, farmers market, and restaurants.

I live in this community with my husband and two dogs. During my internship at Grand Valley State University’s Counseling Center I had the opportunity to be trained in Critical Incident Stress Management which I have had the honor of using to support our local first responders. My husband is a lieutenant on Algoma Township Fire Department and providing clinical services to First Responders is a passion of mine. Our helpers need help too.

I love nature and its reminders of rebirth, dormancy, growth, and death. If I'm not working or executing daily tasks of living (the annoying things like cleaning my home, grocery shopping, and laundry) you can find me outside walking, hiking, golfing, or reading. I love a good sweaty gym session - especially if I'm training for a hike - and short evening walks after dinner + whatever tv show my husband and I are working our way through at the time.
